'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
